My parents invited me to lunch on Boxing Day at the V&A Waterfront, and they suggested we eat at The Hildebrand. I was optimistic, as I had not eaten there before and I had heard good reviews. Alas, my Tagliatelle Carbonara was disappointing, and my mother shared the opinion with her Tagliatelle Alfredo. Nice setting on the waterfront and excellent service, however. Not too overpriced, as I had heard.
Hordes of the Underdark

I used three of the four days in the long weekend to start and finish Hordes of the Underdark, the second expansion for Neverwinter Nights. Overall, good value for money for the single-player alone, and lots of potential for multi-player.

For nearly three and a half years, Sir Ian McKellen has been writing for his web site. This includes diaries (and photos taken by him on location) for The Lord of the Rings and X-Men shooting and events, as well as replying to questions from fans from the web site. It also encompasses his other writings (since 1974!) on stage and film and on activism (gay or otherwise). What a find!
Return of the King

Wow. While the Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers left me feeling that they couldn't have been better translated to this medium, they didn't offer the opportunity Return of the King gave Peter Jackson in the finale of the epic. Verdict: Don't miss!

here's a factual overview of history of marriage not being exclusively

I've been playing with Debian a bit at home, mostly to find out if it's a usable desktop OS to give to my developers (who really needn't suffer with building from ports and other FreeBSD'isms). Here're my two main irritations.

I've been quieter than usual. Jeremy bought me Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, which has been sucking my free time from aimlessly reading the entire Internet. ``Games'' of other kinds; at work, various failures are slowing me down. So I'm typing up my thoughts on Legends of Aranna.
